It has
been crazy hectic with trying to juggle everything in my life right now, so I
thought it would be fitting to do a gradient that kind of reflects all the
different parts of my life coming together. I started out with 2 coats of
Essence nude glam café olé, a light beige cream, as my base. Next, I sponged on joe Periwinkle, a cream blue, on the top half of my nails. Following that, I
stamped on the cracked lines from a BM plate using purple Konad polish. I
finished this mani off with a coat of Seche Vite.

A Smile makes Everything Better
A smile can brighten up
your day, regardless of what may have happened, a smile still makes you feel
just a little bit better. I had so much fun painting these nails that it
brought multiples smiles on my face! I started off with a base coat of Color
Club Almost Famous, a bright yellow cream
polish, and used 2 coats. Next I stamped on smiley faces with BM plate using
Konad Black. Finally, I finished off with Seche Vite and accented
one nail with Sally Hansen Black Out. I stamped a full happy face on my thumbs.
Have a wonderful day and dont forget to smile!

Snowflake magic
The
snow has been pretty awesome on the mountains this year and considering it is
still winter, I decided to do a fun seasonal manicure with snow as my
inspiration. I used Dr.'s Remedy Navy as my base coat. This is
one of my favorite dark blues because it is so pigmented. Next I stamped on
some snowflakes using BM plate with white Konad polish. Finally, I used OPI DS Coronation,
a pretty silver holographic polish, as my accent color because I still find
snow so magical.

2 shades of Pink
Hello
Readers! I hope you have been well. The nights have been getting longer and the
weather has been getting colder...The sun peeked out last weekend when I
attended a wedding show so I decided to have some fun and play with some pink
polishes! For my base, I used 2 coats of essence sending you kisses - a
bright cream pink which takes slightly longer to dry. Next, I stamped on a cute
pattern using BM plates with essie nothing
else metals – a light pink chrome
polish. I finished this look off with nails inc. westminister
bridge, a matte topcoat, to tone down the manicure
just a tad. Bundle up everyone!

Happy Halloween
This
design was something quick and simple to do but still looked polished. I
started out with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Grass Slipper and
stamped on a cool design using Konad black with BM 223. Quick but effective right? Have a safe
night everyone!

Gradient Friday : Olympic Inspiration
This gradient Friday is
inspired by the colors and symbols from the Olympics, especially from the
gymnasts outfits. I used 2 new colors from Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor and line
Ladies in the limelight and
Strike a Pose. To finish the design, I
stamped on some nice round circle that reminded me of the medals, gymnastic
routines, and archery. The polishes applied well and its neon color really
screams summer!
Polishes were sent to me for review. All opinions are my own.

I don't give a Rotterdam!
This
is two coats of OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam!,
a pretty slate blue cream shimmer from the OPI Holland line. I really like this
color as it is quite versatile and I can match it with lots of clothing in my
wardrobe. I stamped an image on it using Dr.'s Remedy Noble Navy. My thumb is
double stamped with the bottom layer being essence walk
on air. I kind of like the double stamp effect as it looks more 3D.
What are your thoughts?

Gradient Friday : Minnie Mouse
I am so
excited that OPI is releasing their new Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection. This
collection consist of 4 colors in red and pink of course! I will show you some
swatches soon, but I decided to use them for a gradient for this mani. I
started out with 1 coats of a gorgeous red named The Color Of Minnie. Next, I
sponged on I'm All Ears followed by If You
Moust You Moust. Lastly,
I stamped on some dots diagonally. I failed a bit in this as I was in such a
hurry that I smudged it. Sorry! Hope you still enjoyed.

ZigZag Refresh
Thought I would try taking pictures with instagram...that app is so addicting. I used Essence Ultimate Pink
to stamp on a zigzag image with BM-201 plate to refresh my birthday caviar
mani. Essence nail polishes seem to be great stamping polishes...maybe I will
pick up a couple more.

Gradient Friday: Falling Blocks
For this
week's gradient, I started off with 2 coats of OPI Fly, which
is a pretty teal cream polish. The formulation was good and it applied
smoothly. Next, I sponged on China Glaze Kinetic Candy on the tips for a simple gradient effect. Finally, I used Wet N' Wild Black
Crème to stamp on an image from Konad m73 plate. Don't they look like falling building blocks? Lastly, I sealed this mani off with a coat of Seche Vite. I also decided to try making
earrings with my polish, and pictured below is a pair I made for my friend
using OPI Fly
and OPI Black Shatter. What do you think?

Hidden Targets
I have so many nail stamping
plates that I never have time to try all the designs out. Therefore, my goal is
to try and blog one stamping design at least once every 2 weeks. Todays design
used SinfulColors Last Chance,
a deep forest green polish, as the base coat. The formula was a bit runny, but
it seems to be the verdict for many of their polishes. The color is quite
pretty and I used 3 coats to reach opacity. Next, I stamped target dots from
BM-206 on using SinfulColors Out of This World,
which is a shimmery silver color. I was afraid that it would be too sheer to
stamp but it turned out well. You can clearly see the design and the subtleness
of this makes it easier to wear. I sealed this mani off with a coat of
SecheVite. Exciting giveaway coming soon, so stay tuned!

Festive decorations
For
this festive design, I used 3 medium coats of SpaRitual Illume,
which is a blurple cream polish. The formulation for this was quite runny and
hard to work with, which was disappointing because it is such a pretty color.
You should probably use 4 coats if you want it to be opaque or wait longer in
between coats as the formulation is quite sheer. I was too impatient so I only
used 3 and waited not very long in between coats. Next, I used China Glaze Harmony
to stamp on a design using my BM plate. This design reminds me a lot of the
shiny decoration balls you hang on Christmas trees and I really liked it. Harmony
stamps wonderfully and I sealed my mani off with a coat of Seche Vite.
Hope
the holidays are treating you well!

Glittery Snowflakes
There is less than a week until Christmas day so I am going to
try and fit in as many festive designs as possible. I wanted to do something
glittery and fun with snowflakes so I decided to try for some glitter tips. I
used some bright light blue fine glitter that I bought from
Michaels for this look. I painted my tips with clear polish and then dipped
each nail into the glitter. I lightly brushed the glitter with a fan brush to
get rid of the excess. Next, I layered on China Glaze Snow Globe to give it a falling snow kind of look. I used OPI Catch me in Your Net
on my pinky as an accent finger. To finish off my look, I stamped on snowflakes
using BM plates. I sealed it all off with a coat of Seche Vite for some extra
shine.
Now if it will really snow here, it would be perfect…what would
your perfect Christmas look like polish addicts?

Festive Green Gradient Friday
The
holidays are near, so I decided to try a festive green gradient Friday. I used
one coat of Nubar Earth as my base color. It is a pretty shimmery teal green with teal
sparkles and applied well. Next, I sponged on Essence Lime up! on my
tips. Finally, I blended this manicure together using China Glaze He's going in circles, which
is a light green holographic polish. I added some dots on the tips using Wet n' Wild Red Red and Sally Hansen White On. I stamped 2 festive bows on using
fauxnad plate m59.
Hope this
starts off your holidays with a smile!

Autumn Allure
Dr.'s Remedy enriched nail polish has, in my opinion, some perfect
fall shades in this mini collection. I have said before that they create great basic
cream polish shades and these did not disappoint.
First up is Balance, a vibrant raspberry red
polish, which took 2 medium coats to be opaque. The formulation for this one
was a bit on the watery side but it was very minor. I stamped over this with
Color Club Hot like Lava .
Next up is Deep Red, a burgundy wine red,
which also took 2 coats to be opaque. Formulation was good on this one and
although it says it is supposed to dry matte, I did not notice the matte effect.
This reminds me of cranberries!
Wrapping up this collection is Navy, a dark blue cream polish. It wont win points for creativity in
the name, but this is a basic solid navy that everyone should have in their
collection. It came to my attention recently that I do not own any dark cream blues
sans glitter, so this fit perfectly in my collection (I totally thought OPI Russian Navy did
not contain shimmer). Formulation was great on this one and you can get by with
1 thick coat, but I did 2 for the picture.

Nails Inc. Gradient
Today's gradient Friday is done using all Nails Inc. products to celebrate their release into Canada at select Sephoras. I used 2 coats of Jermyn Street, a pretty cream greyish beige polish with a hint of rose pink. The formulation was great and it applied very smoothly.
Next, I sponged on Porchester Square, a creamy muted mushroom taupe polish, on my tips. Finally, I stamped on a stripe design using Fauxnad m69 with The Thames, which is a creamy concrete grey polish.
I really like this neutral colors for the fall and I am glad I picked this beauties up! What Nails Inc. colors are your favourites? I would love to know!
